At Facebook, we’re developing the future of AR/VR. The displays and optics team based in Cork, Ireland is dedicated to developing hardware components for next-generation products. The Devices Team is looking for a Device Integrator with experience across multiple LED material system. This role is particularly suited for a candidate with research science background who has experience on the development of high precision components with optical beam control.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
PhD in physics, chemistry or materials science
5+ years’ experience in III-V semiconductor processing
Demonstrated experience in device integration for optical devices
Evidence of delivery on research programs within a challenging timeline
Device physics knowledge to support design and integration decisions
Description(岗位职责)
Owner of the research program for the development of high-resolution optical component
Support the development of multiple technical approaches to produce proof-of-concept devices
Working with internal and external partners to rapidly iterate on designs to support model-fab-test feedback loop
Develop a detailed understanding of the capabilities and limits of currently available technology
Align research program with development plans and integration schemes for new technology injections
Designing and implementing experimental work-flows partner facilities
Working with internal and external partners on tech transfer
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Experience with some of the following modules: lithography, deposition, bonding, CMP,
Evidence of work with the modelling team to provide physical realization of target designs and to iterate research targets.
Application of surface characterization techniques evaluate features
Experience in delivering research outcomes by partnering with external organisations
Appreciation of the challenges associated with both nitride and phosphide material system
