The Facebook AR/VR group brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. We have a clear mandate to ship products at scale.

We are currently seeking a Creative Director on our FRL Avatars team to partner with art directors, designers, producers, researchers, and product marketers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with virtual characters for real time and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, semi-structured environment. This person must be comfortable guiding teams and production partners and should be willing to roll up their sleeves to do the work when necessary.

Qualifications(岗位要求)

10+ years industry experience including shipping at least one AAA title or animated film as an Art Director, Creative Director, or Character Lead

Strategic thinker and communicator

Experience working cross-functionally, balancing the needs of stakeholders, and breaking down complex narratives into simple, compelling ideas

Foundation in 3D characters systems and a good understanding of technical challenges for creating character based mobile or real-time products

Experience spotting trends and understanding popular culture in the global media landscape

Experience working in a product development process

Experience providing direction on visual and content strategy

Presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with experience communicating complex, sometimes abstract, concepts clearly and persuasively

Description(岗位职责)

Partner with leads on the strategic, creative, and technology direction of our Avatars across Facebook products

Push the boundaries of how characters and humans are represented in digital form

Work closely with engineers to explore foundational digital character and human 3D pipelines

Define direction for creative and technology in new product experiences

Inspire the creative team to be passionate and ambitious in their work

Maintain and manage consistency of quality across the team

Effectively influence leaders and key partners across Facebook products to gain alignment and communicate with conviction

Partner closely with product, design and engineering to identify opportunities for feature enhancements that would elevate the quality and user experience

Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, product marketers and engineers to serve a global audience

Direct inclusive representation for avatars across our family of applications
