Summary(岗位介绍)
As an experienced process engineer, you will take a critical role in generating the next generation of AR/VR systems. You will be part of a team developing and applying new polymer technologies for a next generation of polymer-based optics and devices. You will work with the team exploring new concepts, working with partners to demonstrate capabilities, and develop working prototypes. A range of approaches will be used combining electrical, mechanical, material, and optical technologies. We are looking for a hands-on engineer with a productive mindset who can apply their process engineering expertise to solve problems in creative, insightful ways. The ideal candidate has a strong fundamental engineering background with industrial experience in process engineering, prototyping skills, and experience manufacturing consumer products.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
BS, MS, or PhD in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent experience.
5+ years industrial experience in polymer process and manufacturing technology.
Experience in 3D design modeling.
Experience in process engineering and metrology.
Expertise in Design for Manufacturing and design lifecycle.
Experience bringing a commercial product to market.
Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Description(岗位职责)
Work with the team to understand needs, opportunities, and constraints. Evaluate and propose polymer-based solutions.
Find vendors and industry partners, determine specifications, obtain, or get access to necessary equipment, and coordinate experiments.
Collaborate in a team environment across a diverse set of disciplines including material science, engineering, and optics.
Establish quality and performance metrics.
Determine, requisition, and start-up related metrology systems.
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
10+ years industrial experience in process and manufacturing engineering.
Proven experience in developing new polymer-based products.
Familiar with electronics and mechanical systems testing, associated data analysis and statistics, and statistics.
Experience with statistical process control.
Experience with FMEA.
Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques (machining, 3D printing, injection molding, roll-to-roll processing.
Experience collaborating with high-volume contract manufacturers.
Optical metrology experience including coatings and thin films.
Knowledge of interfaces and adhesive bonding.
