Facebook Reality Labs Research (FRL Research) brings together a world-class R&D team of researchers, developers, and engineers with the shared goal of developing AR and VR across the spectrum. The Surreal Vision research group at FRL Research is seeking exceptional engineers and technical leads to solve the next generation of research challenges on the path to building future machine perception enabled technologies. We are looking for talented engineers to architect and build data management and processing systems for Project Aria; our next generation research device that helps us understand the world from a human’s perspective and build next generation AI and AR experiences for AR glasses.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
5+ years experience with real world system building, including design, coding (C++) and evaluation/testing (C++/Python)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
Experience with distributed and scalable systems
Experience in cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
Experience of demonstrating technical leadership working with teams, owning projects, defining and setting technical direction for projects
Description（岗位职责）
Autonomously engage, plan, execute, and report on the engineering development of scalable data services and data systems to enable state-of-the-art research on localization, mapping, and AI in AR/VR systems
Collaborate with product managers, ML researchers, and ML engineers to design and integrate production-grade training and inference pipelines based on modern deep learning methods
Work closely with team leads and program managers to coordinate engineering efforts within the team and across the wider AR/VR organization
Proactively identify opportunities for improvements and designs that affect the broader system scope
Define projects for other engineers to possibly solve and achieve impact based on your direction
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience building services for large scale video understanding with modern machine learning
Basic understanding of 3D computer vision algorithms and Deep Learning Frameworks
Experience building on spatial databases, large scale spatial maps and GIS
Experience with data management services, ideally with large scale imagery and video datasets
Experience working with Elasticsearch, SOLR, or similar search engines and libraries like FAISS
