Summary(岗位介绍)
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Anthropometric Research Scientist to join our team, whose mission is to uncover insights about physical human attributes and optimize the attachment interface of wearable AR/VR systems. We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience in anthropometric data collection or biomechanics analysis of wearables and who can work with a team of researchers who are exploring ways to improve the wearability of wearable devices. More broadly, the chosen candidate will work with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers and will have access to cutting edge technology, resources, and testing facilities.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in in the field of Biomechanics, Anthropometry, Apparel design, Human Factors, or related field
Demonstrated interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
2+ years experience with collecting and interpreting anthropometric data
Demonstrated experience with both small and large scale human data collect protocols
Description(岗位职责)
Develop theories, test hypotheses, and create biomechanics models from anthropometric data that inform the design of AR/VR devices
Develop the anthropometrics research and data collection efforts needed to a uncover insights about AR/VR wearable devices
Mentor MS/PhD interns, contribute to your peer’s projects and work closely with external academic groups to advance our research goals
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Demonstrated experience in the domain of designing wearables or apparel
Demonstrated experience in the domain of data science
Strong communication and personal management skills
2+ years of experience in industry
Familiarity with OpenSim, MATLAB, Mathematica, or other modeling and simulation software
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, or fellowships, as well as first-authored publications in American Society of Biomechanics, Journal of Biomechanics, Applied Ergonomics, Textile Research Journal, The International Journal of Fashion Design, Technology and Education, or similar
