We are seeking an EMC Design Engineer who has experience in SiP development, consumer electronics, and battery-operated mobile products.
As an EMC Design Engineer at Facebook, you will take a critical role in developing next generation Consumer Hardware Systems. You will be part of the system level design integrity team and will lead the system level EMC/EMI/ESD/Coexistence/De-sense and any other electromagnetic-related design and validation. Work scope includes simulation, automation development, bring-up, validation and test in the lab for simulation correlation to improve EMC design quality, for all design phases. The individual filling this position is expected to perform independently and lead multiple projects, work within teams interfacing with other engineers and technicians, and collaborate with different cross-functional team engineers and/or outside vendors to complete all necessary tasks. We want people who work well in teams, can brainstorm big ideas, work in new technology areas, are able to drive a concept into a prototype, and can envision how a prototype could transition into a high-volume consumer product. Our ideal candidate has a strong EMC design background, excellent simulation and lab measurement capability, and experience in designing and manufacturing consumer technology products.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of experience in EM simulation and measurement areas
EM fundamentals, grounding and shielding theory experience
Familiar with PCB and flex design and manufacture process
Hands-on experience using 2D/2.5D/3D EM and circuit simulation tools, such as Ansys, CST, Cadence Sigrity/Clarity, Comsol, ADS, Hspice, and creation of complex system level EM and Multiphysics models
Detail-oriented personality with solid documentation and reporting skills
Self-starter with analytical and organizational skills
Description(岗位职责)
Lead EMC, grounding and shielding design, collaborating with different engineering teams to well understand design standards and requirements, provide design specification and guideline, perform risk assessments, from early architect design phase to final official compliance phase
Explore various design elements including different sensors, modules, wireless charging, battery, SMPS/LDO, chips, antennas, memories, low/high speed buses, cables, components, flexible and rigid PCBs, their physics of operation, and impacts on system performance
Develop simulation methodology and flow for complicated system-level product design needs, from DC to EM frequency band, for EM and Multiphysics effects
Develop EMC validation methodology and detailed engineering test plans, validate in lab to correlate simulation results and improve design flow
Use simulation and lab data to support design troubleshooting and propose corrective actions, drive failure analysis, root cause efforts, and design of experiments to resolve problems
Support multiple projects at the same time
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of experience in EM simulation and measurement areas
Feel comfortable to use different instruments, such as near field EM scanner, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, oscilloscopes, signal generator, field probes, ESD gun/simulator and other related test equipment
Good system knowledge, such as PD structural and thermal solution, power regulator design and EMI control, RF desense, magnetics shielding, noise and vibration
Good knowledge of SIPI
Working experience on consumer hardware Co existence/Desense issues
Hands on for scripting language, Python or MATLAB, to automate instruments and data collection/analysis
