The Portal team brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. We have a clear mandate to ship products at scale. In particular, seemingly impossible products that define new categories and advance Facebook’s mission of connecting the world. To enable new experiences the Portal AI team is tasked with inventing and developing cutting-edge technologies that make Portal products give people the experience of being there. We are seeking exceptional interns with a background in Computer Vision to join our team. We are specifically looking for candidates to work in areas such as human understanding, image enhancement, 3D reconstruction and computational photography.
Our internships are twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long, and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering in the field of computer vision, machine learning, computer graphics, or robotics.
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
2+ years of research experience or equivalent graduate research experience in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision and/or 3D graphics.
2+ years of Programming experience in Python and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch.
Description（岗位职责）
Research and develop novel Deep Learning based methods in the area of Computer Vision.
Collaborate with other research scientists and software engineers to develop innovative deep learning techniques for vision use-cases.
Present the outcomes of the research findings as papers in top tier conferences in the area of Computer Vision and Graphics.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Proven track record in publishing papers in machine learning and/or computer vision conferences including CVPR, ICCV, ICRA, ECCV, NeurIPS, AAAI, ICLR, SIGGRAPH.
Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
Demonstrated software engineering experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, open source contributions, or research.
